On 27 May, National Noise Action Day, QinetiQ celebrated the success of NXT flat panel speaker technology, which uses existing aircraft fittings to produce high quality sound reproduction for cabin announcements and other on-board audio requirements. The system uses the very latest image processing technology to stabilise shaky video imagery - a major problem with outdoor CCTV.
