The novel cameras meet a number of spatial sensing requirements - which could ultimately lead to all cars being able to self-park. This has led to the award of a contract to a consortium led by QinetiQ. The "Maps on Tap" service will enhance area-based decision making across Government, by offering desktop access to a vast amount of digital geographic information and analytical tools from one place for the first time.
