| Five-year pricing agreement for Test, Evaluation and Training Support |
QinetiQ and the MOD have signed an agreement confirming price, volume and availability for the Long Term Partnering Agreement (LTPA). The agreement covers Test, Evaluation and Training Support services for the next five years through to March 2013.

| Westar to support US Army Apache helicopter fleet |
The US Army Aviation & Missile Command (AMCOM) awarded Westar Aerospace & Defense Group Inc, the Systems Engineering Group of QinetiQ North America, a task order to provide technical services, systems engineering, and management expertise to the Apache Attack Helicopter Project Manager's Office (PMO).

| GRC sells submarine software to Canada |
GRC Ltd, a wholly owned QinetiQ subsidiary, has just secured a contract to provide Paramarine Version 5 ship design software and its onboard variant Seagoing for Submarines to the Government of Canada. The Canadian Navy will use the onboard software to manage the stability of its Victoria Class submarines and assist in emergency response situations.

| NASA interest in UK-led mission to the moon |
A joint report on lunar exploration by NASA and the British National Space Centre (BNSC) outlines the next steps in possible US-UK co-operation on space exploration. The report identifies the MoonLITE mission, in which QinetiQ is set to play a key role, as 'the primary mission for potential cooperation'.

| TopSat imagery supports Rwandan earthquake disaster relief |
TopSat imagery has been provided free of charge to the United Nations in response to the recent earthquakes on the Rwandan / Congolese border. According to initial reports, at least 42 people have died in Rwanda's Western Province and in the Democratic Republic of Congo city of Bukavu following a series of earthquakes that struck on 3 February.

| Boeing contract for Chinook modification, test and evaluation work |
Following the announcement of a contract in December 2007 between MOD and Boeing that will see the support helicopter force boosted by eight more heavy-lift Chinooks, QinetiQ has received several initial direct MOD contracts and a sub-contracting deal with Boeing. Under the contracts, QinetiQ will undertake a significant proportion of the modification programme at MOD Boscombe Down on Salisbury Plain.

The Survivability Workshop is a European forum for the exchange of information and for identifying potential areas of cooperation in the field of survivability. Survivability is 'the ability to complete a mission successfully in the face of a hostile environment'.
