QinetiQ continues its expansion into the Australian market with the announcement that it is purchasing AeroStructures Group bringing the total number of QinetiQ staff in Australia to 288. AeroStructures is a leader in aircraft structural assessment in Australia and has synergies with QinetiQ's capability in the UK.

| QinetiQ to purchase third Australian defence consulting company |
QinetiQ has signed an agreement to purchase the Melbourne, Australia-based engineering business AeroStructures Group. This acquisition follows the announcement earlier last month of QinetiQ's purchase of two other Australian defence consulting businesses - Ball Solutions Group and Novare Group.

| Capability improvements for the UK Sea King Mk4 fleet |
QinetiQ, in partnership with the MOD's Joint Test and Evaluation Group, has successfully completed a 12-month, £5.25 million Carson blades project to increase the capability of the Royal Navy Sea King HC Mk 4 helicopter.

| Environmental trials on MAN military trucks |
QinetiQ has just completed a series of rigorous environmental trials on 12 different types of MAN military logistic trucks in its test chambers at MOD Boscombe Down. This is part of an independent 18-month evaluation contract for the new supply vehicles fleet for the MOD's General Support Vehicles IPT.

| Towed Array Handling Systems for Spanish Navy |
QinetiQ has sold four Towed Array Handling Systems (TAHS) to be used with the new S80 class of submarines being built by Navantia for the Spanish Navy. The multi-million Euro TAHS contract was won against strong international competition and is the culmination of many years' research and development work by QinetiQ's underwater systems business in Winfrith, Dorset.

QinetiQ's industrial power group has won a one million dollar contract from Jordan's Central Electricity Generating Company (CEGCO) to provide independent performance assessment of its power plant at seven power stations.

| SPO security system to protect travellers in the United States |
US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has purchased the QinetiQ SPO threat detection system as part of a package of measures that will bring enhanced security technology to travellers in the United States. The TSA has initially purchased 12 SPO units.

| Appointment of US Admiral as non-executive director |
Admiral Edmund P. Giambastiani, Jr has been appointed independent non-executive director to the QinetiQ Board with effect from 1 February 2008. Admiral Giambastiani is replacing Mr George Tenet who is stepping down from the board.

Doug Webb, Chief Financial Officer, has informed QinetiQ of his intention to resign from his position and from the board to assume the position of Chief Financial Officer at the London Stock Exchange Group plc. He will remain with QinetiQ until the company's preliminary results on 28 May.
